The greatest command Jesus gave His disciples  is that they love one another. In 1 John 4 says that you cannot say you love God when you don’t love your neighbor.  One way of showing that you love people is by praying for them. Presenting their worries, needs and requests before the Almighty God. This is the greatest sign of love. 

Philippians 4:6-7, “Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”
